October 20, 2018 – Jesse and Evangeline with a love so intense, a bond so sure and a romance so true tie the knot in Abuja.
It was a radiant ceremony brimming with affection, goodwill, blessings, so much love, laughter and a host of family and friends.
With a relationship forged over years of friendship behind them, the beautiful couple step into matrimony with their thrilling, exciting #JE2018 wedding that even the most cynical won’t help but smile at.
Jesse and Evangeline, the new Dan-Yussufs, first caught our attention with their breath-of-fresh-air, out-of-the-box pre-wedding pictures in September 2018. Because it was the kind of stuff we absolutely adored, we reached out to the groom who told Pulse Weddings that he met the love of his life in in 2012.
After meeting at a gathering organized by Youths With A Purpose, they lost touch and did not meet again till 2014 when they met at a concert. This time, he wasn’t letting go.
“Reconnected in 2014. Became really good friends and started dating in 2016, after trying to escape the friend zone for one whole year!”
By 2017, one year after they officially moved from friendship into their relationship, they were engaged. Jesse, who Pastors The Tribe, Abuja, had a whole year of seating in the front row and seeing first-hand, how kind to people and dedicated to God his woman was, and it is that, above all other things that he treasures most about Eva, who is now his wife.
“My favourite thing about Eva is her heart for God and compassion for people. It’s pure,” he tells Pulse ahead of their big day.
And it gets even better on their wedding website. The husband holds nothing back when describing how amazing his bride is.
“We’ve come a long way, you and I,” reads the charming message on he dedicated to Eva on the website.
“Truly excited and eager to share the world and dreams with you. I love how you take the sun with you wherever you go, how your smiles are like summer clouds; warm and bright. I love how you blend humility and ambition.
“Truly excited to see our journey to birth dreams so when we look back all we’ll see are our footprints etched in time and reality. I love you so much Eva, Yours, For Eva, Forever”
A poetic message to which Eva replies with an endearing one of her own:
“I’ve said over and over that you’re Gods special gift to me and you truly are. You came to me as a surprise, even though our friends with better eyesight than i do will smile at this.
“I love how you pursue after God and chase after me. I will live forever seeking the best for you and seeing the best in you. Holding Hands, Following God, Building and Loving each other.“
And so may it be.
