What are the Factors Behind Illegal Immigration?
- Updated: October 8, 2019

Naturally, poverty and warfare contribute to the rising tide of migration, both legal and illegal. Are there other factors?
About this Event
Illegal immigration, human smuggling, and human trafficking are nested, but yet different concepts. Human smuggling and trafficking have become a world-wide industry that ‘employs’ every year millions of people and leads to the annual turnover of billions of dollars.
Naturally, poverty and warfare contribute to the rising tide of migration, both legal and illegal. Are there other factors? Can we stop them? What are the implications?
