RCCG Evangelist steals girlfriend’s car in Ogun state, sells it to friend in Abuja

An evangelist with the Redeemed Christian Church of God church has been arrested for allegedly stealing his lover’s car.
41-year-old Olajide Olawale was yesterday paraded with other criminals at the Oyo State Command headquarters in Eleyele Ibadan.
Olawale who claimed to be an ordained evangelist in Mowe, Ogun state stole his girlfriend’s Toyota Matrix car late last year and drove it to a friend in Abuja where he allegedly sold it.
The suspect who claimed to be an evangelist at Redeem Christian Church of God, Mowe, Ogun State allegedly absconded with his lover’s Toyota Matrix vehicle in 2018.
He was paraded at the Oyo State Police Command headquarters along with other suspects.
The state police commissioner, Shina Olukolu, vowed to clamp down on criminal activities in the state before and after the general election.
Also paraded were a 50-year-old driver, Ismaila Yusuf, who allegedly connived with a gang of armed robbers to rob his employer; as well as Kunle Omolere and Eniola Tosin, who were arrested for cultism.
