Art X Tech Festival 2019.

Gallery of Code is Africa’s first research and design lab at the intersection of Arts, Science and Technology working to carve a new opportunity area of convergence for Artists and Technologists through capacity building, actualization of interactive installations while also applying them to address social challenges.

Arts x Tech Festival Abuja brings together Artists, Creatives, Technologists and anyone curious to connect the intersection between art and technology. It seeks to unlock perspectives and possibilities on new creative formats tied our normal daily routines which are in large part, determined by technology.
In this melting-pot situation, aesthetics and high-tech elements blend together to form a new contemporary landscape.

Highlight of the festival includes a workshop series called “Investigate Technology” by Dr Ida-Marie Corell from the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

The line-up also includes an Animation Festival, Free Masterclasses, Exhibition, Generative Art, Plastic Art, Fashion-Tech and Artist Talks, 3-D Printed art, Digital Art, Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality, Immersive Art, Interactive Art, Sound Art, Projection Mapping and lots more.

Gallery of Code is Africa’s first research and design lab at the intersection of Arts, Science and Technology working to carve a new opportunity area of convergence for Artists and Technologists through capacity building, actualization of interactive installations while also applying them to address social challenges.

A nexus of Arts and Technology, the design lab provides space and expertise in the development of  ideas while conducting workshops to foster home-grown creative solutions and experiences.   Equipped with advanced prototyping tools and machines supplied by Ars Electronica and funding from the Austrian Government, this ‘brainbox lab’ will bring together international scientists, technologists and media artists to produce jointly developed projects, skills training and knowledge transfer with talented Nigerian creatives, students and start-up entrepreneurs.
